Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Push ("we," "us," or "the app") handles information when you connect your Google account and use our Discord-based email briefing service. By connecting your account, you agree to the practices described here.
What the app does
Push connects to your Gmail account, with your permission, to generate a short summary ("briefing") of your unread emails and deliver it to you privately through Discord. Premium users may also have draft replies prepared and saved to their own Gmail Drafts folder for their review.
Information we access
With your explicit authorization through Google's OAuth consent screen, the app accesses:
- Email metadata and content of unread messages (sender, subject, date, and a short preview snippet) — used solely to generate your briefing.
- Your Gmail email address — used to identify which account a briefing belongs to and display it to you.
- Draft creation access (premium only) — used only to save draft replies to your own Drafts folder. The app never sends email on your behalf.
Other information we handle
Beyond your Gmail data, we handle a small amount of information needed to operate the service:
- Your Discord user ID — used to deliver briefings to you and to associate your account with your subscription and referral status.
- Subscription information — if you upgrade to Premium, we store your subscription status and an identifier from our payment processor (Stripe) so we can provide Premium features and manage your subscription. We do not store your full payment card details; these are handled directly by Stripe.
- Referral information — if you participate in the referral program, we store your referral code and a record of referrals so we can apply rewards.
How we use your information
- To read your unread emails and produce a summarized briefing.
- To deliver that briefing to you privately via Discord direct message.
- For premium users, to draft reply suggestions and save them to your Gmail Drafts folder for your review.
- To process subscription payments and provide Premium features.
- To operate the referral program and apply any rewards.
We do not use your email data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to providing the briefing service. We do not sell, rent, or share your email data with third parties.
Use of AI processing
To generate summaries and draft replies, email content is processed by a third-party AI provider (Anthropic) via their API. This data is sent only to produce your briefing or drafts and is subject to the provider's data handling terms. We do not use your data to train AI models.
Third-party services
Push relies on a small number of service providers to function. These providers process only the data necessary to perform their role and are subject to their own privacy policies:
- Google / Gmail — to access your unread mail and save drafts, with your authorization.
- Discord — to deliver your briefings and run the bot's commands.
- Anthropic — to generate summaries and draft replies, as described above.
- Stripe — to process Premium subscription payments.
- Our hosting provider — to run the application and store the limited data described in this policy.
Data storage and retention
- We store an authorization token that lets the app access your Gmail on your behalf. This token is stored securely and used only to generate your briefings and (for Premium) save your drafts.
- Email content is processed in real time to generate each briefing and is not permanently stored by the app after the briefing is delivered.
- We retain your Discord ID, subscription status, and referral records for as long as you use the service, so that Premium and referral features continue to work.
- You can revoke the app's access at any time (see below), which stops all future access to your account.
How to revoke access
You may disconnect Push from your Google account at any time by visiting your Google Account permissions page and removing Push. You may also stop using the service in Discord at any time. Upon revocation, the app can no longer access your Gmail. If you would also like your stored data (such as your authorization token, Discord ID, and subscription records) deleted, contact us at the email below.
Limited Use disclosure. Push's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Data security
We take reasonable measures to protect authorization tokens and any data the app handles. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's privacy
Push is not directed to individuals under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
